Jared Moskowitz takes 11-to-1 cash lead into final 10 days of CD 25 Primary

U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz will close out the Democratic Primary in Florida’s 25th Congressional District with a war chest more than 11 times the size of his challenger’s.

Campaign finance reports released Friday show Moskowitz entering the final 10 days before the Aug. 18 Primary with $1,882,634 cash on hand. Democratic Socialist challenger Oliver Larkin reported $169,741.

The reports land with the contest already in motion: mail ballots are out and in-person early voting is underway in Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

The cash advantage tracks with the polls. A July 31 tracking survey from Beacon Insights found Moskowitz at 55.6% to Larkin’s 19.9% among likely Democratic Primary voters, a spread of nearly 36 points. That’s up from the pollster’s June benchmark, which had the race at 51.2% to 19%, the survey in which Moskowitz opened a 32-point lead.
